Red Bud Playscape

Attached to the restaurant's outdoor seating is a playground intended for kids to play and explore. Primarily using cedar beams and blocks, we designed a playscape that let kids run around and create their own route. The blocks doubled as seats for the chalkboard drawing area.

Observing it in use, we saw kids learn how to share the space. It wasn't unusual to see kids make friends while their parents ate a hamburger and had a beer with friends not too far away.
